Sika, a global building product manufacturer, engaged Fabrick to write its award entries for the 2014 FeRFA awards. Organised by the Resin Flooring Association, they celebrate the excellent workmanship, diversity, innovation and commitment to quality and training shown by its members.

The Solution:

Fabrick’s in-house copywriting team was asked to write entries for five awards. Four of the entries were for the ‘Project of the Year (Large)’ category and the remaining entry was for the ‘Project of the Year (Small)’ category.

Fabrick’s copywriters were given a short time period in which to complete the work so a proactive approach was undertaken.

Research into the awards was carried out where the criteria and other practical information such as word counts were established. The copywriters then reviewed the basic information sent by the client and contacted both the client and contractor for additional material that was needed to meet the set criteria.

Comprehensive first drafts were promptly sent to the client who responded with minor amends only.

In addition to finalising the entries, Fabrick also managed the collation, production and distribution of the vast supporting material needed for each award entry.

The Results:

  • Well-written, informative and concise copy
  • All entries were shortlisted
  • Sika won ‘Project of the Year (Large)’ category with the Coronation Street entry
