Brief:

Originally established as an eco and sustainability event, Ecobuild has evolved to broaden its scope whilst remaining true to its roots, and is now regarded as one of the cornerstones of the building industry. In line with this evolution a rebrand and reposition of the event was required.

The Solution:

Fabrick created a distinctive new brand and logo which was rolled out across all communications, including all marketing and advertising collateral, website and digital media platforms.

The new logo was designed to illustrate construction whilst creating a soft split between the words ‘eco’ and ‘build’, putting the focus on ‘build’ whilst maintaining the eco heritage. The new logo also incorporated a tag line - developed by Fabrick - of ‘design / construct / perform’, created to imply the three stages of sustainable delivery – sustainable design, sustainable construction and sustainable performance.

An illustrative approach was then adopted for support graphics, providing Ecobuild with a clearly distinguishable way of communicating messages to its various audiences.

The Results:

  • A distinctive and eye-catching identity
  • A new identity that captured the new format of Ecobuild and helped reposition the event
  • Provided design guidelines to deliver efficient integration of the new brad across digital and print media
