The Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) is a member-focused non-profit organisation that brings like-minded professionals together. An internationally recognised professional body, membership of CABE shows peers, employers and the public that you are a competent and ethical professional who can be relied upon to strive for the highest possible standards.

To support the growth of its Chapter in Malaysia, an annual conference is held. The event produced a considerable amount of content and PR opportunities and Fabrick has supported events by facilitating marketing communication opportunities.

The Solution:

CABE members work across the life-cycle of the built environment specialising across a wide range of disciplines. By bringing these disciplines together CABE shares knowledge, raises standards and develops professionals, enabling a professional construction sector that works to create better, safer and more sustainable buildings that enhance people’s lives.

The annual conference held in Kuala Lumpa addresses a number of these issues. Conference presentations have included ‘Building and Quality Control as practiced in the UK’, ‘High Rise Building Fire Disasters - Lessons Learned’, ‘Sustainable Building’, ‘Standard Forms of Contract’, ‘BIM’ and ‘Designing for Safety & Health Performance in the Malaysian Construction Industry.’

Fabrick has attended events and provided support through the identification of PR opportunities. This has included creation of a series of blogs from guest speakers, development of conference news piece and coordination of event photography and video. As part of activities, Fabrick has also helped to build relationship with trade press in Malaysia, placing a series of articles on different key issues addressed as the conference, helping to raise the profile of the organisation.
