School children from Burwell, Cambridgeshire visit archaeological dig

FABRICK AND THIS LAND DELIVER A HISTORY LESSON FOR LOCAL SCHOOL

Thanks to Fabrick and house builder, This Land, 60 school children in Burwell, Cambridgeshire, recently had an interesting history lesson and site visit where they got to experience an archaeological dig!

As part of the planning permission for This Land to build 350 new homes in the village of Burwell, they were required to undertake the archaeological dig as the site had been identified as a possible Bronze Age settlement.

This Land were keen to share the results of the dig with the local community so invited the local school to join them. The pupils weren’t disappointed as they found the skeleton of an important villager!

The excited pupils had a wonderful time and This Land were very impressed with how Fabrick had organised such a Covid-safe and well organised event for the school.
